By enhancing authenticity and sense of place, sustainability, and accessibility, the Zone B design continues the revitalisation of Dobrich's core in line with its rich history and future potential.
The design for Zone B builds on the strategies established in Zone A to revitalise Dobrich's city center by preserving its authentic character, implementing sustainable solutions, and enhancing accessibility.
Key moves include celebrating the area's wheat heritage through paving patterns, improving building facades, optimizing parking and greenspace, accentuating entrances and squares, simplifying plaza layouts, incorporating inclusive elements like ramps, adding rain gardens and tree grilles for sustainability, delineating pedestrian and cycle routes, and referencing the city's past through contextual planting designs.
